My husband and I have been casually looking for a wooden cremation urn for a few years as we look ahead to the time when we will need one. I talked to local woodworkers and no one had made one or seemed interested in trying to make one. I was very excited to come across Vern's site on Facebook as his urns seemed to be just what we were looking for. We wanted wood construction with little/no varnish or metal parts, and we wanted an urn large enough for the ashes of both of us. Vern's urns are constructed from black walnut, which actually sealed the deal for us as we have a black walnut on our property! I sent Vern a picture of our tree and he edited it as I requested. Our urn arrived today and we are both very pleased. It is very solidly constructed and beautiful enough that we plan on keeping it on display for many years until it is needed.
